What is Microblading?
Microblading is a procedure that uses pigments and cosmetic tattooing techniques for enhance eyebrow restoration. This technique uses a hand held tool to consistently draw short strokes that resemble a natural hair growth pattern.
Is There a Lot of Pain?
Before we get started, pre-numbing cream is applied for 20 minutes to help ease any discomfort. After the first pass, when the skin is opened, additional topical anesthetics containing 4% Lidocaine is again applied to continue numbing. Most clients say it feels like tweezing your eyebrows.
How long is the initial appointment?
The entire initial appointment is about 2-3 hours. The consultation, shaping, and designing your brows take the longest, up to 1 hour. Pre-numbing cream takes 20 minutes. The microblading part should not be rushed, so please plan accordingly.
What is a "Touch Up" appointment?
During this session, I will evaluate how your skin had healed and determine if you like to go darker or bolder with your new brow look. Then I fill in the desired sections same as during the first appointment.
What type of pigment is used?
I use the best German imported pigment product for microblading on market. This pigment is waterproof, after few weeks the color will blend in more with your existing color. There are 4 pigments to choose from based on your skin and existing hair color.
How Long does Microblading Last?
Microblading will fade 10-70% depending on various factors as how fast you heal, your after care, and your skin type. Microblading can last from 1-3 years. After the Touch-Up appointment, I recommend a maintenance session between 12-18 months to keep your brows lasting longer.
